Astra drew her sword and Belinda's mind raced. "Sisters...don't you see
what is happening?!? That crazed old man has set us upon ourselves!"
Belinda looked at Carola and then at Astra. "You ask me if I had anything
to do with Fred's death... what madness has befallen you? Of course I
took him from this world! I TOLD YOU SO!!! Am I some assassin who sneaks
in the dark? NO!!! Fred was dying, his pain was great... what kind of
viper it was to have done this to him I know not... but we all know that
these Northern Caves are filled with vile and deadly beasts."
Belinda's words were sinking in, and making sense to Astra and Carola. Astra's sword arm began to descend, and Carola's look of suspicion was changing to one of horror. "Oh, how could that old man have done this to us?!!? We are sisters, we are warriors in our own right!" "And now we seek one of our own!" spit out Astra. "I am tired of these games, sisters... I am tired of these caves and of its denizens." ~~and yet, dearest Belinda... you do hide some secret, what it is I know not, but I shall find it out when you least expect it, when I am sugar and cream and your guard is down~~
