Achoo.
Getshundheight. Thank you... but I don't think it's spelled that way. I never studied French. Oh. Wait a minute, I think that's German. I failed geography. Oh. You must be an American. I'm also lower middle-class, I enjoy low-brow humor, and I find pleasure in writing my name in the snow... with my, ahem. Got a problem with that? Uh, no... not at all...is it hot in here? So, back to Fred? Yup, back to Fred. Where were we? Some ten years after he entered the Southern Caves of the Shreken. He been down there the whole time? Of course! He's King of the Lava People, after all. He must be pale by now. I'm not sure, I mean... they do have lava lamps and all down there. Uh, yeah... right. Back to Fred then. The Southern Caves (or at least that portion of which King Fred and his loyal lava subjects have subjegated) has become the great city of SouthMount (Fred didn't have much imagination when it came to naming things). The Southern Dragon has been dead these many years but rumors have it that a new wyrm from the west has been making a land-grab (as well as a maiden-grab) and coming closer towards the Shreken Mountains. As for King Fred's relations with other nations, his closest ally is Allaria - now ruled by King Xander Exultaine a strapping youth of only nine years, the son of QueenMother Exotika and her husband Prince Zazenn (formerly of the Three Kingdoms). The ambassadorial city is what once was named Mudspot. Today this once-grimey coal-mining village is still- grimey, a city filled with coal-burning machineries and lava-powered turbines, protected by towers of iron and surrounded by multi-family homes, bachelor pads, inns, bed-and-breakfasts, and condominiums. There isn't much farming as the land is mostly rock, rock, coal, rock and lava... and as such 98 percent of the needed foodstuffs are carted in on a weekly basis. The Mayor of the now-christened City of Coalspot is one Elder Benchley (a smart man who knows how to pull in debts and grease sweaty palms, if you know what I mean, wink wink). The Ambassador from SouthMount is one Sir Contact (a poor schmuck who had the misfortune of being enslaved by the Southern Dragon, but who had the fortune of being freed by King Fred). The Ambassador from Allaria is one Sir Arthur Mollari (a nephew of Duke Zular Mollari, no less!). Uh, that's only a set up... we didn't actually have anything happen. That's for the other authors, stupid! Oh. Yeah... right.
