175 pounds of Fred - plus the 25 pounds of armour he was wearing, 145 pounds of Astra - plus 5 pounds of chains, and several hundred gallons of liquid mud all landed on an ornate four-poster bed. The bed at least broke Fred and Astra's fall, before it collapsed under the impact immediately afterwards.

  1. They looked about them, at what had clearly once been an opulent room before the swamp mud had covered the floor and splashed over most of the walls.
  2. Then the floor gave way in turn, and they fell though into the room beneath.
