Senile Wizardry

The last bit broke Andrea's fear of the strange man. He turned on his heel and started walking away. Seeing he was harmless, Andrea sheethed her sword and followed him. "I am Princess Andrea, and if ye will not come, I shall have my guards fetch ye, bound, hand and foot."

The old man laughed and turned to address her. "Princess? Why, young lady, I serve only the king, King Alfred. Together, we smashed armies. We won the great battle of Gorbain against the armies of darkness!" He says it as though he knows it, not as though he remembers it.

"Gorbain?! Alfred?!" replies Andrea with a sneer. "That was my great grandfather. You can't be claiming to be the High Wizard Maculay!"

The man's eyes light up and he leans over to make a point. "In the flesh, young wippersnapper. In the flesh." He taps on her nose with his boney index finger.

This insult angers Andrea. "Why, if you were the Maculay, the Most High Wizard, surely you could conjure me a horse!"

"Horse?! Why I could conjure thee a whole team of horses!"

He kneels on the ground, takes a small bit of something from the pouch on his hip and mixes it in his hand. "Utalay, Marcon, Riztou, Paltu, Alsoon, Barbardin, Agg, . . ." he murmurs on for a few moments. Then, he rises and with a stroke of his hand he gestures and:

1. An ostrich appears, all saddled and ready to go.
2. A massive lightening bolt rips through the forest.
3. Several ducks appear.
4. A tree comes to life.
