"Leave them to you, them's not our orders," says the lead orc, his mouth
seeming to grimace as his two front tusks jab in and out from the lower
lip.
You take your deception another step and say: "If you wish to explain to the Dragon why the collection of his two prisoners was delayed, you can go see him right now." You don't know too much about these strange monsters but you have heard that they don't like to think too much, and they don't like it when their masters get angry. The lead orc grumbles at you and his beady eyes seem to glare. "Go," he says with disgust (which pretty much is his usual way of saying everything). With barely a sigh you take Lyra in your arms and pull Termagant lightly by the hair and choose a bridge going away and to the right of where the orc band had come. Unfortunately before crossing half the span of the bridge your luck changes when you hear the orc say: "Wait! The Dragon ain't no him, her be a she! We've been tricked!" With a wave of his massive sword he charges after you, with the whole orc gang following!
