Andrea's eyes followed the transfixed stare of the boy and her sword went
limp in her hand. Her lungs involuntarily heaved and she began screaming
just as loudly as the boy.
They were both staring at a girl. She stood in the center of this room. She was no more than four feet tall and wore a simple peasant's dress of wool. Her hair was brushed and combed but there was an odd tinge of redness intertwined with the dark strands. Her face was deathly pale and her eyes had a mad look to them. Worst of all, though, was that there was a hole in her chest, at about the spot where her little heart should have been, and if you looked at it at just the right angle you could see all the way through it! Andrea had realized upon seeing her that this must be the Little Weeping Girl Who Lost Her Heart To The Goblin Who Ate It For Breakfast! Ever since that dreadful morning, when her spirit should have flown off to the watery abode of the Squid God, she had remained on the plane of mortal existance looking for her heart. But she had never found it and so decided to take the heart of anyone she met on the way! Andrea's mind screamed: run you idiot, but her legs said: if I stay still she might think I'm a statue and leave me alone, of course it didn't help that her mouth just kept on screaming and screaming and screaming.
