Astra Is Reminded of Something

Overruling Velus's objection, the others decided that they had no alternative but to kill the baby dragons, callous - and potentially dangerous - though that might appear to be. Managing to keep out of the line of fire, Fred - as the only one with a sword - went round behind each dragonet and cut off its head.

Seeing Fred doing this reminded Astra that she didn't have a sword (though she'd managed pretty well against the zombies without one, thanks to the walking dead being so fragile). And that in turn reminded her that she didn't have any clothes, though in comparison that seemed of much less importance. She turned to Nomino. "I don't suppose that you could conjure me up a sword by any chance? And some clothes wouldn't come amiss, either."

  1. "Of course, Princess." Either he respected Astra much more than Fred, or he was a bit of a creep when it came to royalty.
  2. "I'm afraid that I need to conserve all of my magical power for the dangers that may lie ahead."
  3. "I've heard of a newfangled idea called democracy, and this seems like a good chance to try it out." On a show of hands, it was decided by three votes to one that Astra should remain naked, though she got a sword.
