The lady behind the desk, who gains the name Imelda, after appearing in so
many episodes, blinks in amazement. Then she draws out a crossbow. Several months of being the front line against whatever crazy walks through the door has convinced her that it was time to sneak in a weapon. After all, security doesn't appear instantly. Fred burbles an honest apology for scaring Imelda. But too much adrenaline and her five cups of coffee that morning causes the lady to fire. The bolt bounces off of Fred's good luck charm (a Necklace Of Magic Point Increasing) and slams into the thug's buttocks. He moans and slips into shock. "I quit!" the lady screams. She throws the crossbow across the room and, swift as a duck going after bread, is out from behind the desk and heading for a small, metallic door behind some plants. Fred sees the crossbow fly through the air. Imelda grabs the door's handle. The weapon lands. Another bolt, loaded automatically, fires.
