Boron's Achilles "Heel"... sort of

damn! thought Fred. this guy must be part gorilla!

Unbeknownst to Fred this extraordinary bouncer did have an inheritance from that side of the primate family. He had been part of a super-secret breeding/cloning program that involved a bevy of mages, a myriad of princes, and a ton of juju beans! How this man got to be working at the Aqualarian Foundries base of operations quartered in Irysopolis-on-the-Hill is a tale in and of itself. But now back to the main story...

Fred reeled around and stood staring at this behemoth of a man. "Take your filthy hand off me, you ape!" he said with a ferocity of emotion that even the secretary behind him suddenly held her breath waiting for what Boron would do.

Boron, the anatomically-superior individual, did NOT take his filthy hand from off of Fred's shoulder. Instead, he began to tighten his grip on the aforementioned shoulder, squeezing ever so slightly. Fred, for his part, fought off the urge to whine. His upper lip began to tremble as his lower lip readied to twitch. His eyes began to fill with tears and his mind wanted to scream out, Mommy! but Fred knew he was a Knight, damnit! So he did what he thought best after spending two point three seconds assessing his situation, his options, and his chances for success... he kicked the man in the groin.

Boron let go of Fred's shoulder. Boron pouted briefly and then whimpered. Boron fell to the floor in a fetal position, groaning ever so slightly, ever so softly. Mommy... Fred thought he heard from out of the big man's mouth. Then he turned to the secretary.

"Now...." said Fred with renewed vigour and confidence. "About that complaint."

1. the secretary blinked in amazement...
2. just then an advertising agent, who had seen the whole thing, bounded in his floppy sandals toward Fred...
