"Belboz's old, mangled, male body wouldn't be. And that is the only dead body that is readily available."

"Not necessarily. For a necromancer, corpses would be the tools of the trade, as my people's old saying has it. He probably has some stored away somewhere nearby."

"From what I've heard, Checkers, necromancers normally only animate the dead so that they can do their bidding, and only for a short period of time at that. Thus they probably wouldn't be too bothered about the condition of the corpses that they use. The princess isn't going to be very happy if she finishes up as a zombie, with bits dropping off."

"Well, let's look, and see what we can find. We'll start with Belboz's chamber, and work outwards from there. I imagine that we will need to do this fairly quickly, if the princess's soul is still to be capable of being put into a body. I suggest that you start hunting for a suitable body, whilst I search through Belboz's books in the hope of finding an appropriate spell."

1. Success. Checkers finds a spell that she thinks she understands, can cast and which might work. Fred finds a body that Belboz has stored in a cavern filled with ice to slow down decay.
