The diary was unmistakeable, having "Astra of Aqualaria" and the year both embossed on the cover in gold. "How did that get here?" she gasped.

She bent to pick it up from the jumbled heap of books, but Fred was ahead of her.

  1. "Here you are, Princess," he said, being a perfect gentleman, and he handed it over.
  2. To Astra's chagrin, he opened it to a random page and began to read aloud: "May 15th..."
