was rising higher and higher and any moment would crush him. He was
flattened against a bare wall and had nowhere to run. Astra, however, had a plan. She upended a table, spilling off one of the few inanimate books in this plain, library. She ran forward, to Fred, the eight foot table easily hefted by her well-maintained muscles. The wave broke. The hundreds of books smashed against the tilted table as the two heros crouched behind it. The wave stopped and now there was just a mess of books. "Thank you, Astra." said Fred.
