Fred took stock. A talking dog and a naked princess with unreliable magic.
And a dragon still to slay. What a morass. There is much discussion. And a pee break. Exotica expresses her desire to restore Velus to normal. He declined, ever so politely, mentioning that the chaotic magic he just witnessed made him desire to stay as a dog until 'the dragon's influence on the magical realm was over'. Of course, what he meant was that Exotica was scary incompetent but nobody would say that. Not to a lady or a princess. Exotica manages to conjure up a pair of boots so she wouldn't tear her feet on the rock. But anything else was currently out of her league. A pair of shorts turned into a floating blue pebble that swore like a sailor. Fred convinced her not to try any more magic for a while. So the group continued on, determined to kill a dragon. Followed by a cursing blue pebble, currently muffled in Fred's front pocket. They soon came to a small lake. It was a hundred feet square. The sides were sheer, wet wall, unclimable. There was a ferry of sorts. A circluar stone platform, with wooden railings that left a two foot gap on each side. The railings were remarkably well polished and smooth for being in such a damp enviorment. The ferry moved on it's own, slowly going back and forth across the water. Fred had a feeling of unease.
