They had been removed from the nets, had ceased twitching and the pain was subsiding, but they were still too weak to stand.

"I've half a mind to let you see my face," the Snark went on, "but I need you to be sane if you are to carry out this quest for me."

"What makes you think that we will carry out your quest for you once you've sent us two weeks into the future?" Astra asked, struggling to her knees.
