Point of View: POV 5 (from the "Double trouble?" thread)

The others turn and look at their latest vistor, cursory thermo-optic scans from Probe prove that these visitors are real flesh and blood...and not some of the fabled creatures rumored to roam this creepy city.

"They're clean!" Probe calls.

The groups look at the latest arrival in an almost blaise fashion. Considering what's been happening so far today, this is getting to be monotonous!

The sixth sense that Synizn had cultivated under his brother dragons from the East tells him that these people mean him and his charges no harm.

"We seem to have a young couple with.....similar problems," the mountain man....who ALSO calls himself Synizn....says as he waves at another couple of demi-foxes who come forward. "I was about to begin a process of curing them when.....this Minestus dragged us here if I overheard your conversations correctly.

"We also have one other problem," Frederigo the demi-fox says. "There seems to be a question of who.....Duke Dredrick D'Honaire's real son is!" He then tells in vivid detail the ackward....stumbling advice his father had given him about "Bees and Birds" when Fred had asked him about "Where do babies come from?" It had been the most ackward subject the Duke had ever tackled, and one of the most fond in retrospect. He had left Fred with more questions than answers, really. A frank discussion from Fred's mother had cleared up the details, and enlightened Fred.

Drederick looks at the Fred he came with, and then at the other.

"How?" begins the Duke....and suddenly looks at the Synizns. The human looking on explains.

"I don't know," the werebear sighs. "I examined him and the other...and their matixes are so similar....denoting such similar lives....I can't tell who belongs to you when I compare it to your matrix."

"What he means is," Probe pipes in at the confused look on the father's face. "Is that up to a point, there was this one universe with your Fred. Then, a choice was made....or not....or something turned out differently. Then there were two universes. One with a Fred in each that has the memory of the same events....up to that one point of divergence.....like a stream splitting in two. As time goes on the universes will grow more and more different, but....since these Freds got sucked here at such an early state....our wizards can't tell your boys apart!"

"But....what am I going to do about that?" sputters the father. He had understood the one called Probe, but.....

"Raise them and love them like they were your own." Probe sighs. "In similar cases I've seen from where I'm from....it's nearly impossible to pinpoint a loose analog's origin universe....Don't ask....just go with it. I'm not a quantum Mechanic!" With those odd words, the man goes over to the "manimals" (the beastmen).

All further matters are put on hold when an asked question brings about some rather drastic...and final results!

1. "Why are you wearing that kind of getup?" an Astra asks the vixen known as Alicia. All turn in surprise when it is the dragon who answers.....
