Andrea's New Pet

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 22049

Even had there been any indication of where the dog's owner might be found, Andrea soon discovered that in any case the dog had adopted her as its owner. She had rescued it from the water and she had fed it. As far as the dog was concerned, that was enough to make it her devoted pet for the rest of its life.

So when Andrea put on her boots and her pack, and walked away from the lake, wishing that her clothes weren't sopping wet, the dog followed her. "What am I going to call you?" Andrea asked it. Not surprisingly, she did not receive an answer.

Andrea named the dog:

  1. "Softy", as that seemed to sum up its character.
  2. "Fred", after Lord Frederigo D'Honaire, whom she'd met once or twice.
  3. "Lots", for no reason that she could explain.
  4. "Worf", because that was what its bark sounded like.
