"And for the lady?" "I'll have the same." The bartender grunted and went about his preparations. Fred took a moment to survey the dingy little tavern, avoiding any direct eye contact with any of these grim looking Hespaniards. This was not his sort of establishment! Over in one ill-lit corner of the cantina, several shadowy figures were gathered around a table, where they were engaged in some sort of dice game. In the opposite corner, several gully dwarves and an old gnome were arguing over a game of poker. The dwarves seemed to think the gnome was cheating, although the diminutive creature denied this with much enthusiasm. In the center of the establishment there was a gathering of rowdy, vulgar-mouthed sailors, drinking like fishes."We need to fit in," Astra suggested. "Let's find a table and mingle with the crowd..." she tossed the bartender a few coins for the drinks (she had conveniently found them on the floor upon their entrance to the shady establishment).
