So why has Fred encountered such a pleasing situation in Hell?

  1. Hell is breaking down due to Satan being a drunk.
  2. It's just a way to make Fred even more miserable when all the pleasing things are taken away.
  3. This is really Heaven. The laval and the smoke and the ugly things...yes, Heaven. The religous people got it all wrong.
  4. We will never know.
  5. It's all just a hallucination.
