The Seeker Has a Feeling of Deja Vu

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 20554

The Seeker looks over his new body and flexes muscles where he lacked them before. "Woo hoo! At least this isn't all bad! I guess all Addventure storylines don't end in senseless gender-bending!"

The Seeker mulls over his situation. Looking around, he realizes that this is indeed the battlefield from his recent "New Amazons" storyline with JH. He wonders why he's been placed here instead of in the intended Zolboda storyline. He wonders what fiendish mastermind could have devised all of this. He wonders why he's been placed in a different body, and why, for once, it's actually a flattering body. He wonders if he'll ever get this all sorted out. Finally, he wonders why he's dressed in the same armor as the female warriors. He shifts around as he realizes just how uncomfortable it is. He also wonders...

"Hey," shouts one of the warriors, "can we get on with the battle already? I'm kinda tired and I'd like to get this over with before sunrise, so I can get some sleep."

The Seeker looks up at the warriors. "Hmm? Oh. Right."

The Seeker lifts his sword to fight his enemies, but he realizes that he has absolutely no experience with handling a sword, and, unlike the other storyline, the experience doesn't come along with the body. So, he lifts with sword and swings it wildly in front of him, hoping to hit something. Unfortunately, he doesn't have much luck (though he does succeed in making the other warriors laugh at him).

Suddenly, he feels a sharp pain in his back, followed by several other pains in the rest of his body. Then he feels an explosion in his head, and he blacks out.

(Melodramatic afterlife scene)
The Seeker slowly, painfully opens his eyes. He realizes that he's just died and come back to life. It was somewhat unpleasant. Even worse, he realizes that, if this story is anything like the other one, he's probably just lost that great body. He sighs regrets ever writing the New Amazons storyline in the first place.

He's too weak to stand right now, but he looks around him as best he can. Off in the distance he sees the same burning village, the same grove of trees, and the same orange-tinted night sky that he wrote into the story so long ago. He groans.

Then he sees an oddly reflective helmet near his head. Fortunately, he's quickly regaining his energy, and by now he can move (though not much). He moves himself into a position in which he can see his reflection in it.

Wait! He recognizes this face from one of his descriptions in a past storyline! It's...

  1. ...someone else. (???)

The Seeker (I notice that whenever I include a wierd option at the end of a humorous episode, that's always the one the next author decides to extend. I really should have learned my lesson by now...)
