On the Good Ship Loriothen

The Elven Princess Thyelia gazed out at the wide blue sea as her ship sped toward the horizon. It had been long ages since the Elves had last set out to cross the Gate of the Sun and enter into the Realm of the Unfinished. But a terrible oath had been heard on the northern wind and the Wardens of the Four Stars had cried out in their sleep upon the rising of the Polaris. A great meeting had been called and all the tribes of the Elven people had come. And after much deliberation it had been decided that a fellowship should be sent to the mortal world.

The mission would be fraught with much peril, for the mortal world was one of conflict and turmoil. Few among the eternal ones felt anything but horror at the idea of crossing over. But the need was pressing and more than great. It had to be done.

And then from among the multitudes of the eternal there came forth a handful of courageous souls, willing to suffer the hardships and brave the dangers. And first among them was Thyelia, Princess of the Fields of Sylerean, and daughter of the Lost King. She was the one given lordship in this half-mad mission. Together with her fellow adventurers she would leave behind the Blessed Realm and journey deep into a world that the Elves had not visited for so long it had become almost a legend. And once they reached the mortal shores they would have upon their shoulders a task upon which the very lives of their people depended - a quest to find...
