STV Episode 25: Lowdown on the Whatnot

They continued their shamble towards an area of the caverns where they definitely felt the freshness of... well, fresh air. Once outside Chakotay contacted Voyager. "Chakotay to Voyager," he began.

"Heeeeeeeeelp!" screamed Mulcahey in an overly emotional squeal.

Chakotay spun around in time to see the Bajoran stomping on what looked like an ant. "What is going on down there?!?" came the sound of the Captain's voice resonating in clear syllables many thousands of kilometers from their originating point. "Uh, everything is... under control, Captain," said Chakotay even as Bieber gave Mulcahey a kick to the shins. "Except," continued the commander after regaining his composure. "Except that we are missing a crewman."

"Who?" came the concerned voice of the starship captain.

"Ensign Samantha Wildman."

There was a brief pause and then, from many thousands of kilometers away (mostly in the direction of 'up'), came the clear voice of one irate captain. "You mean to tell me that little Naomi Cutesy-Poo Danger Girl's Mom is the one, of all the crewmen I sent with you, you happened to lose? Why didn't I see that one coming!?!"

"I was betting on Ensign Bieber!" yelled Ensign Mulcahey from behind Chakotay. He had finished slaughtering the evil ant, squashed a malevolent fly and had since been behind the commander listening very intently. The silent sound of Captain Janeway giving the Bajoran ensign the evil eye cut across the thousands of kilometers and struck him like a... well, like a silent sound.

After a quick lowdown on the whatnot, the Captain sent down a security detail with Mr. Tuvok in the lead. The plan was simple: enter the cave system, split into three groups of four, and search the area for the missing crewman while not engaging the natives – human or humanoid – at least not if they could help it.

Ensigns Mulcahey and Bieber were transported to sick bay and left there... with the Doctor... on purpose. Of the three security details, Commander Chakotay was to lead group one, Seven group two, and Carey was to assist Mr. Tuvok in leading group three. ~~aw, shucks!~~ thought Carey. ~~they never let me be a leader!~~

1. Follow the security details as they begin the Search for Wildman!
2. Follow Ensigns Bieber and Mulcahey as these two comical characters bumble their way through sick bay and into the secured area where the robotic de-Borged drone-thing called "Lots42" was still in stasis!
3. Follow the native man who helped get the landing party in the mess it was in; the man who pissed off some mermen; the man simply called: Fred!
4. Paris crashes the ship after drinking way too much Bloodwine. Everyone's ok but the ship is busted.
