Fred's Weird Fever

"What are you doing?" she asked him, fearing that he might be going to force himself on her.

"Burning up!" he panted.

Fred must be suffering from a sudden fever, Melissa decided. Grabbing the basin of water, she threw it over him. He was down to his underwear by now, so at least his outer clothes wouldn't get soaked.

To her surprise, when the water touched him it instantly turned into steam. She had never thought that anyone could get that hot.

1. The strange fever left Fred as suddenly as it had come.
2. Fred went outside and rolled in the snow in an effort to cool down.
3. Fred self-combusted.
4. Melissa caught the strange fever.
5. Something Else Happens.
