My earliest, fondest memories are of my hometown, Harvest Green, and the good
people that lived there. Sometimes when I lie on the grass and stare up at the sky,
somewhere within that absolute eternal blue my mind floats back to childhood years, and
a perfect world that now, alas, exists only in memory. And yet that world is there - and
sometimes when I see that cloud again I am no longer Gedwick the Eternal, Mage
Champion of the Ivory Towers, but Ged the boy, measuring the sky and daydreaming.
And when I let them the memories overtake me completely, and the past becomes alive.
And then I can feel the grass with the limbs of a child again, and smell my mother's
cooking on the breeze, and hear little Allia's sweet voice calling to me across the green.
