the Green Lantern

"Uh, hi," said the man.

The two women just stared.

"Uh, like, whatcha doin?" asked the man.

Betty started cracking up, this was way too wierd. She started to imitate the man, just for the fun of it. "Uh, like, standing in front of Nicolas' cage and trying to get this whacko woman out of it!"

"Hey!" said Stacy. "That hurt my feelings!"

"Yeah, me too," said the man. "I mean, like, uh, you don't have to be so sarcastic or anything... like."

Betty just started giggling and laughing. What was she doing here? Why had she come? And what kind of flashlight did this guy have? "Um, like why is the light from your flashlight green?"

"Well, because it's my green lantern!" said the man as if that were something unique and important. The two women just stared.

"Can anyone get me out of here?" asked Stacy.

"Well, I just might," said the man. "By the way, my name is Frank Cordoza."

"I'm Stacy and this is Betty," said Stacy.

"Hello," said Betty. "So, you can get her out?"

"Well, I'll try. You see I used to know one of the Keystone Cops and he told me that he had a run-in with Skeletor."

More blank stares from the two women.

"Ur, well, like you know, he was able to get a skeleton key outta the whole thing."

"Ohhhh," said Stacy. Betty just rubbed her temples.

Frank then went to work with the skeleton key and after only thirteen minutes and thirteen seconds he had the door of the cage open wide.

"Thanks!" said Stacy. "You're a super man!"

"Golly gosh gee willakers!" exclaimed Frank. "It was nothing..." He looked at Stacy as if for the first time.

"Now," said Stacy looking at Betty. "Dya got my towel?"

1. ...the towel, the mansion, the mistake... or ...why didn't I think of that?
