The Broadlyn Way can either be said to begin or end at the foothills of
the Goth, within the little village of Mordnse. Certainly from that place
it runs south along the eastern edge of MalBoncton to the current
incarnation of a town now known as Walants. From there it runs further
into the country's hinterland. Between Walants and Mordnse, are hillsides
and small woods, only a few dusty ox-roads feed into or off from the
Broadlyn... MalBoncton is far from its prime in political and cultural
attraction. The demi-fox mob that hoarded the Way this day was quite a
sight. They walked with purpose, they stomped with zeal, and as they
marched ever northward they sang a song:
"Hey! Ho! Nobody's Home - No drink, no meat, no money have we none! Still, we will, be merry, very merry - Cause we're gonna bash Synizn one! Bash him! crash him! dash him in the head! Hey! Ho! He better be at home!" It should be noted that demifoxes are not known for their gift of song. It should also be noted that though Mordnse was not far from Walants, demifoxes had short legs and tended to warm their fur in the sun. Even on this mad mission of revenge, this mob knew how to enjoy life's little pleasures. They breathed in the breeze, a few knuckled their comrades in the small of their necks, and some even rubbed their bellies in the loose sand on the roadside. Though hatred filled their guts they still knew how to have a good time! They also knew that hurrying wouldn't change things: Synizn would still be the monster he was, he would still be the menace he was, and his favored drinking grounds would still be in the foothills ahead of them. They knew where the Still lay and who lived there year- round; it was there that lived the community of werebears, and somewhere not far the golden arabesque was sure to fly. "What if the other bears don't know where Synizn is?" asked Lyn. "We'll bash the info from 'em!" cried out Rush. "I think you misnderstood me... I meant, what if they really don't know?" "Oh, we'll bash 'em first, just to make sure." "No, no, you don't seem to get my point," continued Lyn. "We can't get information from folk who don't have it." "You're right," replied Rush. "I don't get your point." "I mean that bashing them won't get us any closer to Synizn!" "OHHHHHHHH!" said Rush, the light turning on. "But it will make me feel good!"
