Gift Altar

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 1893

You run away from your current weird situation. You soon come to a wooden altar seemingly set at random in one of the many passages. Red-gleaming torch gems line the left side, casting everything in stark shadows.
A beige blanket covers the front of the altar. Inscribed on it in dark thread is a bunch of words. As the lighting is bad it takes you a while to figure out what it says.
"Place an item on the altar and recieve something else in return. It may be good or it may be horrible. No refunds. Signed, The Demon Kay'Marhert"
You contemplate the situation. Powerful magic is at work here. Your leg hairs are standing straight up.
Do you dare fiddle with the magic?

  1. You put a gold piece on the altar.
  2. You sidle around and leave the altar alone.
  3. You place your sword on the altar.
  4. You place your boots on the altar.
  5. You run screaming in the direction you came from.
  6. You leap onto the altar yourself.
  7. You pluck one hair from your scalp and gently let it drop onto the altar.
  8. You try to pry out one of the light-emitting gems.
  9. You set the altar on fire.
  10. An item appears without you doing anything.
