Divorce and Shadow (Part 1)

I feel the blood drain from my face and falter back a step as an oddly familiar Apprentice revolver graze the head of that one demifox lass, Andrea 2. It and another one lands at her feet as she yelps and grabs her bruised head in pain. Mutely I watch as her....boyfriend (a demifox male named Edward Solomon) in fox form looks up at her worriedly.

The others around me (friend of Krynn, friends of my ka-tet, and my love) see my distress and rush closer to me. Warm lover's arms slip around my waist and gently move me over to sit in a chair.

I look up at Susan numbly, who looks back worriedly at me.

"Roland," Slith asks softly, "You alright there? You look pale!"

The Sivak draconian then offers a drink to steady my nerves if need be.

I try to smile a reassuring smile as I wave off the generous offer. While perhaps I might be tempted, I need my wits about me and my head clear.

?Tis strange enough, this situation.....

Ah, but first, let me explain, dear listener, what exactly goes here.

My name is Roland Deschain, and until recently I was the last Gunslinger (a knight of sorts) from the ancient land called Gilead. I was a lord of ancient lands, on a quest to find the Dark Tower (center of all things) to defeat the wrongness within her to save not only my world, but as it turns out....all worlds. That is what I was on quest to do, until..... Until everything changed.

Now, while I could regale you my tales up until the point where things changed drastically, I shall not. If you feel the need, then go here for a full disclosure!

Now, while jarring (and exceedingly joyous) enough, yon events through this fey door holds promise of perhaps more. Mayhap not as much to many people compared to what I and the others have gone through (and the worlds....realities), but for me it is perhaps going to be a challenge.
