Normady Isle

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 1860

Astra, Synizn, and Fred appear with a silent flash of light outside a small seaside villa. Fred smiles as he inhales the salty fragrence. Astra raises an eyebrow and Fred smiles a bit before replying.

"It's the see, my love," Fred explains. "I was raised and bred on a boat, sometimes it seems like. The D'Honaires always had something for the sea and it will be sweat to feel the rolling of the deck again."

"Being a land lubber myself, dear," Astra quips. "I just hope I don't spend most of my time riding by rail! Still.....the children seem to be enjoying this."

Indeed, the babies are giggling and cooing as she speaks. Apparently, the surroundings of the children!

The three grownups and the seven infants travel to the outskirts of the villa, and Synizn pauses to look around. He seems to be weighing options, smiles, and then heads towards a modest looking inn by the side of the road. The sign on the establishment names it: "The Fuzzy Naval Inn."

The afternoon crowd's chatter stops dead as the adventurers walk into the smokey interior. From the dress of them, the newcomers are well to do. However, attention seems to be split between the small fox tailed (and eared) child and the busty redhead that has entered into this realm.

"Barkeep!" Synizn calls out in his high, young seeming voice. "I'm looking for someone!"

"Would it be ye mommy fox, little kit?" mugs the bald man. This draws laughter from all present. Synizn smiles, and then makes a small gesture with his hand. The laughing barkeep yelps as he finds the rough floor suddenly slick as oiled glass. He spills the drink he was handling on himself and is swearing when he feels himself suddenly sliding AROUND the bar and in front of the demi-fox. Eye-level, the barkeep sees that the smile of the mage is a tad cold.....and his hands are glowing a disturbing shade of blue.

"I'm looking for Sigin," the demi-fox says quietly. "He owns this place the last I heard. Tell him that an old....friend of the Circle is calling him for aid. It involves a shipping route he knows of. He'll understand."

The room is againg deadly quite as the pale barkeep finds that he can now stand without problem. He practically falls overhimself as he rushs back to a door in the back. Seconds latter, a large handsome looking man of indeterminate years comes out.

A questioning look crosses Astra's and Fred's face, and a slight nod from the demi-fox puts them at ease. The former dragon smiles as his friend and oath brohter of his old Dragon circle comes up and greets his unexpected guests.......

  1. "Synizn?" the inn's owner blinks. "Is that you? You've.....changed since the last time we saw each other. How?.......No, tell me when we get into my office. And your friends can come along if you can vouch for them."
