Overwhelmed

Suddenly, there was a brief transporter effect, followed by the appearance of a dozen armed Gamma Omegans on the bridge of the Enterprise, despite the fact that the raised sheilds should have stopped this. All of the Omegans were at least two meters tall, heavily armed, and none appeared to have the slightest interest in a negotiated settlement.

"Captain! Get down, sir!" exclaimed one of the security guards present on the bridge. She leaped forward, drawing her phaser to protect Kirk.

The Gamma Omegan casually shot her.

Whatever it was, the weapon literally blasted the phaser - and the hand and arm weilding it - to atoms. The guard stumbled, stared blankly at the small stub that signified where her arms once existed, then crumpled to the floor.

"Bastards!" Kirk snarled, coming out of his seat and heading for the intruder responsible. Three of them turned their weapons on him, and he stopped.

"Captain, I'm not an unreasonable man," Stra'a said on the screen. I have no interest in killing your crew. In fact, if you wish to have that one," he gestured at the unconscious, bleeding secruity ensign, "Taken to be treated, feel free to do so. However, since you will not listen to reason, I'm afraid I must...

1. Retrieve my mate - along with a few other hostages to ensure your co-operation."
2. Restrain the lot of you."
3. Escort my mate and progeny - along with your ship - back to Gamma Omega IV."
4. Turn you over to my new friends and allies, the Romulans. Perhaps they can convince you to see reason."
