The man smiled at her - and it was not a smile designed to comfort anyone who saw it. "I couldn't have you running around loose, could I? Your mere presence would upset my plans tremendously."

"Wh-what do you mean?!" the Princess said nervously.

"Do you remember me, dear Princess? Remember my face, staring down at you as you awoke from your final slumber in the castle, casting the spell that made you the man you used to be?"

Frederica's blood seemed to chill in her veins. "Crucius?!?"

"None other." That spine-cracking smile again. "When I discerned that old wretch, Belboz, thought to betroth you far away, I knew I had to act quickly. Altering the spell so the two of you wound up here - like this - was easy enough. But what to do with you now? Fortunately, I have quite the idea in mind."

1. "I shall return you to the caves, as Sir Fred, to forever hunt a non-existent dragon."
2. "Would you like to join my other two beauties? They make lovely skeletons, don't you think?"
3. "I think I'll restore Gunther's memory of you, along with knowledge of where you are - but no one else's."
