The four women sat in their cell (which consisted of three dull gray walls
and one transparent forcefield which, they quickly discovered, would give
them a rather unpleasant shock if they tried to touch it) staring glumly at
each other. "Well, this is just great," said Betty-1. "Hey, like I said last time, you hang around with the Doctor, you're bound to spend a little time locked up, right? We just have to sit tight and wait for him to rescue us." Betty-2 was trying to sound confident and hopeful, but not really succeeding too well. "Based on what I've seen so far, I'm not so sure I have that much faith in his abilities," said Stacy. "Hey, that's not fair," said Betty-2. "He dealt with the Master pretty well, didn't he?" "I was the one who hit him with those wire cutters," Stacy muttered. [8676] "Where do you think they'll deport us to?" asked Melissa, clearly attempting to change the subject. "How should I know?" said Betty-1. "I'm pretty much taking it on faith that we're even on Earth. Look at it this way, at least you're not facing charges of impersonating a celebrity, on top of everything."
