How to Get Out?

"There is no escape from this fortress save to defeat Minestus!" demifox Astra said. "It seems that Zodin - being an ally of Minestus - established her fortress deep within the Northern Caves, as we from Aqualaria call them. That is Minestus' domain. I'm sure that he has no intention of letting any of us escape. Indeed, he just said as much."

"You say you're an Aqualarian?!" human Astra exclaimed. "Yes. That would have been more obvious had not Zodin transformed me just before you all arrived. I am in fact Princess Astra of Aqualaria." "There's a coincidence. So am I," human Astra said with a grin. "I don't understand," demifox Astra responded. "I mean, you look a lot like I do - or rather, did - but you can't be me."

That led to an explanation of alternate realities, followed by an exchange of stories by all the members of the group. Eventually this was brought to an end by the Doctor, who loudly cleared his throat and said: "We are wasting time. Now that I am separated from my TARDIS, I have no idea how that letter can be delivered to Rassilon. We might not even be in the correct reality. But from what we have been told it is clearly vitally important that the letter reaches him. The first step must be to get out of this place. If we can do that only by defeating this Minestus, then we had better get started."

"But if we are to defeat Minestus, we must first find him. How do we do that?" human Fred asked. "And another thing, how did he know that Astra and I were Eternal Champions? That worries me."

1. "I suspect that if we try to escape then he will find us," demifox Fred said.
2. "I think I know how that might be done," Susan said, taking everyone by surprise. Wasn't she along solely to scream whenever danger threatened?
