| Little did the two know the danger they were in, however, as they stood
talking on the very private beach of Governor Gilder. He was the ruler of
this part of Hespan, the Corona-del-Mar provence, and his residence was in
the fair white stone city of Corona. The provence was the southernmost of
Hespan's mainlaind empire (Not taking into account Nom Malbra and the
island Caibu, far to the south, and other smaller silver minning colonies
far to the southeast) and was bordered on the east by the Aryn Ocean. The
city of Corona was built near the sea and was the strongest seaport in the
empire. It's huge harbour contained one fourth of the entire empire's
impressive armada of ships. There was no other city to rival it anywhere
close, unless maybe Collinsport were considered, but that was far to the
south in Allaria. The provence was also heavily wooded, unlike most of
Hespan, and half of the wood that was used to make the gigantic masts and
frames of the world's largest fleet of ships. The two stood discussing their plans unaware that ten men on horseback where charging at them with scimitars drawn.
