The Doctor told Betty-1: "You must remember that I was travelling with
your redheaded alter ego and Melissa for quite some
while before I first met - or, as you Americans would say, 'met up with' -
you and Stacy.
Your alter ego told me a great deal about the adventures of my fictional
counterpart
in all his incarnations. At first I didn't think that those adventures
could possibly
bear any relationship to my real life, so there was no harm in being told
about events supposedly
due to happen in my future. Now I'm not so sure. Still, as far as I can
make out, at least
this adventure seems to have escaped the BBC's notice.
"Anyway, to cut a long story short, as I can see that our friend there is looking rather impatient, amongst many other things she told me about Davros. So when I saw him, it wasn't hard to recognise him. There could hardly be two people going about in futuristic wheelchairs identical to the lower half of a dalek." "If you've quite finished, Doctor..." Davros said, sounding even more menacing than usual.
