Fred reduced himself to begging. He quickly discovered that most of the
high-traffic areas were taken by regular beggars. They would not let him
have a spot near them. He soon found himself in a back alley near the
palace walls. It was pretty dark, but he could still see. Then, he
spotted a figure in a black hood out in the darkness running quickly. He
called out. The person stopped, and took the hood from her
head. "Excuse me," said Fred. "Please don't hurt me," replied the young lady, "I'll give you what you want. Let's make love, not war." "If only it were so easy," laughed Fred. "Please!" replied the girl once more. She quickly removed her cloak, revealing exposed shoulders and a tight dinner dress. She dropped to her knees and removed this too. While Fred was still speechless, she serviced him. "See, isn't that better?" said the girl, gathering her clothes and standing. "Well," replied Fred, a little taken aback. She quickly removed her necklace and earrings and took her money pouch and gave it to him. "That's all I have. Please don't hurt me." She backed up a couple steps, and then turned and ran into the darkness.
