Betty closes her eyes. She concentrates. She taxes her
mind. Gradually, a shape appears in the middle of the room. It appears human, but is shrouded in a cloud. As the shape gains definition, Betty begins convulsions, shaking and quivering until she is on the floor. At last, she stops breathing. The Doctor bends down nervously. He checks her pulse, but she has stopped living. She is dead. As he is checking Betty's vital signs, the newcomer walks up to the Doctor. "What are you doing," she asks. "Can't you see? She's dying!" The Doctor looks up at the new comer. She is svelte and beautiful, with a shapely figure that could make most models in men's magazines look plain. "Who are you?" asks the Doctor. "I'm Betty. Who are you?"
