Dragon for Sale.

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 16377

Douglass snatched the dragon from the ground and placed it in the basket. It jumped around in the containment a bit, but the latches held it tight. Looking up, he saw the black hulk of it's mother wandering the skies. He grasped Sarah's hand and ran for the woods where their horses were waiting.

"Wait," cried Sarah, picking up the blanket.

Douglass looked back at her. She was beautiful but a skank. He would have many more of her when he received his title. Soon, though, he ought to woo someone more becoming of nobility.

Together they rode back to the manor. The dragon had not spotted them. The men at arms would provide some protection at his house.

When they arrived at the manor, Douglass instructed Sarah to go change. There was no way she would wear such a sleazy dress near him and harm his boyish reputation. He took the dragon inside and showed it off to those in the sitting room. A few of the women shrieked, but the men showed keen interest.

"I propose we kill it," said Blackwell, an experienced sailor and soldier. "If the mother dragon should know we have it, it is the end of us all!"

"Nay," replied Justin, a friend of Douglass, "we might hold it hostage by the same means, and thereby prevent dragon attacks."

"Ah!" rejoined Blackwell again, this time firmer, "once this little beast dies, the whole clan will have all the more reason to persecute us out of revenge."

Just then Sarah entered in another embarrassingly slutty dress. She came to Douglass, who ignored her.

"I will keep it, at least overnight," said Douglass. "We will make our decision in the morning. For now, we have other business to which we must attend."

That other business was a dinner party. The topic that night was the captured dragon. Blackwell busied himself, much displeased by the rumor. Douglass drank too much and, finding an available companion, brought her back to his room. This displeased Sarah. In near tears, she was returning to her room when a man stepped out of the shadows.

"I will pay you forty talents gold for the dragon you have found," said the stranger.

  1. Sarah realizes she is being used and sells him the baby dragon.
  2. Sarah tells him she will think about it and goes to Douglass' room.
