Roland would have said something about that, but pauses in surpise when
the
next song is played. It's a hot jazz song he recognizes from the bars and
piano joints of his world....but who are the young men singing it? That
and why does it have a slightly....different beat?
Hey Jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.
Hey Jude, don't be afraid.
You were made to go out and get her.
The minute you let her under your skin,
Then you begin to make it better.
And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain,
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder.
Hey Jude, don't let me down.
You have found her, now go and get her.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.
So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin,
You're waiting for someone to perform with.
And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you
do,
The movement you need is on your shoulder.
Hey Jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her under your skin,
Then you'll begin to make it
Better better better better better better,
oh.
"Na na nana na na, na na na," the Gunlsinger
finishes up, joining in a little bit at the last, remembering, "Hey
Jude..."
Roland had never heard of the Beatles, but was familiar with that
particular song....
Several of the others look at him like he's either lost his mind or in
surprise that he knows this song! All that is, except for Queen Astra and
her elfin brother. Astra would have smiled in recognition at the song
that
had crossed over from elsewhere to grace Roland's world. She would have,
but she's spotted the source of her distraction.
She storms over to a nearby set of bushes and pain glazed eyes look
up....and her own face?

Before more could be said, this is about the time the hunting party trying to track down the person who'd killled Scott makes the scene....
