Calling the Crows

"Like this," said the scarecrow, as it began to wail eerily. Astra heard the distant flapping of wings. A black cloud seemed to be swooping down towards her, and Astra soon saw that the cloud was made up of crows. The crows all opened their mouths and cawed in unision, a hideous, raucuous sound that filled the whole valley.

Astra instinctively reached for her sword, only to remember too late that she didn't have one. "All right," said Astra. "I apologize. I'll get clothes from somewhere else. Now will you call them off?"

1. "Oh all right," says the scarecrow, a little reluctantly. He wails again, and the crows veer off.
2. "No," says the scarecrow, and begins laughing.
3. A middle-aged man rushes out of a nearby hut and berates the scarecrow, telling him to call off the crows.
