Chakotay The Hamster

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 15835

The insane Chakotay is placed in a human-sized exercise wheel and forced to run for 24 hours every day - even during sleep. Exactly how Chakotay manages to run in his sleep becomes something of a talking point around the ship, and soon he finds himself the very centre of attention.

As groups of curious and bemused crewmembers gather to watch Chakotay, he begins to giggle under his breath. After a few hours, the giggle becomes a laugh, which becomes a hysterical scream.

After complaints from crewmembers in nearby areas of the ship, who are finding it difficult to concentrate on their work, Janeway sends the Doctor down to the hamster wheel to see if anything can be done to calm Chakotay down.

  1. Chakotay's screaming is so loud, the Doctor's voice cannot be heard.
  2. Chakotay pleads with the Doctor to free him, tears streaming down his face.
  3. Chakotay persuades the Doctor to run in the wheel instead of him.
