"Oh, by all the Guardians of the Beam.....now what?" I say softly, knowing that something terrible is in the works.....or something terrible has happened despite this fine victory against my most hated of foes.

As the tale unfolds the one woman known as Lisketter faints dead away and proves to have suffered a nervous breakdown (such a serious blow it is to her mind.....part of this news). That is learned later. But at the end of the Doctor's quiet, solemn rendition, my adopted son's response to the news pretty much summed it up.

"Holy crispy crap." Jake says softly.

Ah, but first let's start from the beginning.....or a beginning anyway, since so many tales have been interwoven in this rather odd odyssey......

First, I guess I shall have to begin with my tale and the tales of my ka-tet.....

And so Roland does just that.

Stop when you get to the part that says: "Book 4 - Roland and company riddle Blaine as they swiftly blow through Candleton, Rilea, the Falls of the Hounds and asherville on the way to Topeka."

That's where things depart from the script.

1. That is when, of course, I and the others had a most unexpected visit from the others.....right out of thin air!!
