Astra, naturally, was quite startled. At first, she suspected that it was someone projecting their voice somehow. But she looked around, and saw nobody. Probably, then it was the scarecrow.

"Did you just speak?" asked Astra, angrily. The scarecrow just snickered.

"You aren't another alarm system, are you?" asked Astra.

The Scarecrow responded,

  1. "Yes. In a few minutes, the Dragon will be here," it gloated.
  2. "No. I'm just normal scarecrow. Well, a normal scarecrow who can talk. Never mind. But I'm not an alarm system."
  3. "Bite me."
