Stacy felt a surge of panic at this annoucnement. No way this wizened
psychopath was going to probe into her brain! Unfortunately, she was
given little choice, as two Daleks came forward and pressed their
weapon-stalks into her body, forcing her across the room and into an
extremely uncomfortable chair... which quickly became even more
uncomfortable as restraints snapped into place across her hands, feet and
neck. A metal helmet of some kind descended from above her and settled
onto her head. The others looked like they wanted to come to her aid,
but were threatened into immobility by the Daleks surrounding them. "Don't worry," said Davros, apparently noticing the looks on their faces. "She will not be harmed... yet." With his one good hand, he flipped a switch and the machinery surrounding Stacy hummed into life. She could feel a weird sensation, like fingers rifling through her mind. Images began to appear on a viewscreen next to her: her approach through the tunnels, the TARDIS, the Daleks attacking the bookshop, her ride on the subway... then, suddenly, nothing but grey static. "Interesting," said Davros. "You appear to have been telling the truth. This is most disturbing." "You mean those Daleks really were acting without your orders?" said the Doctor, somehow sounding both worried and amused at the same time. "Those, Doctor, were not my Daleks!" "Whoa," breathed Betty-1. "Two factions of Daleks?" "Like in 'Remembrance'?" added her red-headed counterpart. "What are you babbling about?" asked Davros. "Er, nothing," said Betty-2 hurriedly. "Are you going to let Stacy go now?"
