Unfortunately the realm next door had, just yesterday, been taken over by
the evil step=prince Frank. Frank had hired legions of mercs to supplement the mutinous forces he had spent years building. Of course, not all of the land was under Frank's control. Unfortunately the border Andrea gaily rode over was. The attackers came upon her while she stopped to rest by a pond. Her horse, Stalllion, was too far away, taking a drink. Twelve of them died that sunny afternoon. Her horse perished also, an errant arrow driving itself deep into the animal's strong, proud and uncannily intelligent brain. Andrea looked to her left and down, at the wooden sides of the cart. Now this was suprising. Someone had taken care of this car, polishing it and painting it and polishing it. It had the smoothness indicative of army soldiers being given make-work tasks, such as cart polishing, for punishment. Did members of this realm's army join these brigands? (Editor's note: As we know, they did but Andrea didn't know this at the moment). Suddenly...
