Fred buys four horses (after they get clothed). His is a grey and white
noble male named Grumpy. Astra buys one as red as her hair. She names
it 'Nixy' after a childhood friend of hers who had moved to a foreign
land. Velus gets a gelded war horse that dwarfed him. It answered only to
the name of 'Applebrain'. Nobody was sure why. Cederik had a sleek, thin
but healthy pure black horse of an unsure lineage. He declined to name it
at all. They all set out for the castle.
