"Yes, you were," Embron said grumpily. From the black looks that passed between him and Jastina, Joan suspected that harsh words would be said when the two had some privacy.

"If you can't undo the Sundeath, then what are we going to do?", Ecstasy asked. "Emby - I mean King Embron - says that his troops will be too afraid to fight unless the sun can be restored. The enemy's camp is only a mile or two away. They could be here within the hour."

  1. "Our forces won't be too afraid with the inspiring figures of Joan and Ecstasy leading them into battle."
