The Never Ending Quest - Episode 13979

Not only were their dangers in the countryside, the dragon would be enraged that Belboz had 'gone native' and had let such a valuable prize such as a princess literally slip away from the caverns. This beast wasn't the marauding monster as he had been made out to be, but more of a criminal warlord. Still...a princess. Much potential for profit. Much potential for horror.
The eight men, hired from the local branch of the Neutral Mercenaries Guild, would protect the lady until she was back safe and home.
And the dragon would not harm them in revenge once the mission was over. Because he didn't want the entire force of NMG's after his head as well. Frying the eight men during the mission was another thing entirely. Better get a move on!
The nine people moved out. A spell of Misdirection would only last so long.
Unfortunately one of the men, Gingold Strongbottom, had to...

  1. pee really bad.
  2. go and drop the communication crystals down a hole. What an oaf.
  3. get irreversible Tourrette's.
  4. fall into a silver puddle.
  5. turn traitor. What could possibly be worth having the entirety of the NMG after your head? Which they could keep alive to torture...
  6. sing. It was an Obsessive Compulsion Spell! The dragon knew enemy action was nearby!
