Guided or Herded?

Cautiously, the young warrior woman set off through the newly-exposed tunnel. She was now more actively wondering abbout the origin of these mysterious plaques she was encountering. Was she being led to the dragon's lair? Or was this something designed to protect the dragon and lure her to her doom?

If this is a trap, she promised herself grimly, I will see to it whoever wished to buy my life pays for it. Dearly!

Unlike the first passage, this tunnel ran straight for a goodly distance. Finally, though, it turned sharply to the left. Turning the corner, Shen Tso found herelf facing:

1. Another plaque, set in the wall.
2. A dead end.
3. A broad, shimmering pool of water.
4. A dozen armed men.
5. The Dragon!
