Shapechanging Aliens from Orion!

"No?" The woman smiled again, then tilted her head towards the door, as if listening. After a moment, Stacy heard approaching footsteps. "Then perhaps this will convince you!"

A man walked into the room, closing the door quickly behind him. He took in the sight of Chris holding a gun on Stacy with apparent satisfaction, but said nothing.

"All right," said Chris. "Do it."

And suddenly the man... changed. Muscles flowing, features blurring... It was hard to watch, but Stacy couldn't take her eyes away.

And when it was all finished, a perfect replica of Stacy was standing before them.

"Excellent!" said Chris. She turned to Stacy. "You see? There's really no reason to keep you around any more at all."

She raised the gun...

1. ...and fired!
2. ...but stopped when Stacy yelled "Wait! I can think of one very good reason for you not to kill me!"
3. ...and Stacy instinctively shifted her form to dodge the blast.
