Iddiott's Delight

Belboz smirked as the buxom lass's expression changed to a vacuous grin. "As you wished, you are now worthy of my nephew, Iddiott the Fool. You see, Iddiott places great stock in physical attributes. His ideal woman is one who is well built, strong, and posessses a lot of - well, stamina and vigor, if you know what I mean."

Hannah did - just barely. So - just barely - did Fred. He wants a girl who can keep up with him! they thought.

"Fortunately, in this case," Belboz continued, "Like attracts to like. Let me show you." He waved his hands, and in front of Hannah appeared a likeness of Iddiott, the man she was now betrothed to. He was easily six and a half feet tall, with thick black hair, rugged features, and a toned muscular body. "Like what you see, my dear?" Belboz asked.

"Oh yes," breathed a rapt Hannah. Silently, Fred was forced to agree. He dimly knew that something about this was wrong - but his mental faculties and memory were now almost non-existent, and his brain was being heavily influenced by the physical sensations Hannah was experiencing.

"I'll admit he's quite an impressive physical specimen. Of course, when you get right down to it, he's nothing but a muscle-bound oaf. But then again, that's exactly what he wants in his dream girl - someone who's strong and eager, but not very bright. And you, my saucy little wench, are now that girl! How does that sound?"

"Wonderful!" she sighed. By now, there was almsot no appreciable difference in Fred and Hannah. Still, though, some part of the knight Fred had been realized, somehow, that something about the old man in front of her, the tantalizing offer he was making her, was wrong!

"Come then, my dear," Belboz said, holding out his hand. "Come with me to meet your soon-to-be spouse!" Hannah looked blankly at the proffered hand for a moment, then:

1. Eagerly put her hand in his and went to meet Iddiott.
2. Gave a small cry and ran in the other direction.
3. Let loose with a yell that startled the old wizard and tackled him.
4. Asked in confusion, "What was the part in the middle again?"
5. Something else.
6. Suddenly, another knight, this one still with his true form, appeared with a battle cry and sliced Belboz in two!
